Situated in 100 acres of woodland and delightful countryside High Lodge offers a range of activities and services for individuals, groups, businesses and other organisations.

Whether you are looking for a complete break from the pressures of a busy lifestyle and relax doing what you enjoy most, celebrate an important event in your life, entertain your staff, customers or other partners, High Lodge has something for everyone.

In addition to its high-class facilities for Hospitality & Conference events, Weddings, Banqueting and other functions, High Lodge also offers Clay Target Shooting, Golf, Fishing, Holiday Lodges, Restaurant Services and a Retail Shop that caters for Shooters & Golfers.

High Lodge also offers full access for the disabled and has parking spaces for up to 1000 vehicles

The Facilities

Golf Course
Our 9 holes "pay and play" golf course set in over 50 acres covers 2,500 yards, with a par 33 challenge consisting of 6 par 4 holes and 3 par 3 holes. This course is available to all types of golfers whether regular or "once a year" golfers. There are no booking times needed and we are able to offer you golf clubs and trolleys for hire.

Groups of golfers will need to contact us to arrange a suitable teeing off time and special rates are available on application.

Luxurious Accommodation
Self-catering lodges, for up to 4 - 6 people, set in grassland overlooking a well-stocked lake and woodland area.

The onsite accommodation comprises self catering lodges which are set in grassland over looking a well-stocked lake and woodland area.

The lodges offer a scenic and peaceful retreat whilst remaining within easy access of our clubhouse and other facilities at High Lodge.

Lodges offer accommodation for up to 4 or 6 people.

Each lodge has a private balcony offering views over the lake with garden furniture for you to enjoy. For the comfort of all guests all lodges are non-smoking

Our Clubhouse offers facilities for you to enjoy and if you want to use the restaurant or bar then we open for Breakfast, Lunches, Snacks and refreshments 7 days a week.

Restaurant & Bar

Our Clubhouse offers both restaurant and bar facilities with the restaurant open for breakfast, lunches, snacks and refreshments 7 days a week. Traditional Sunday Roast Lunch - served to your table served every Sunday from 12.30pm, last table 3pm. Prices start from just £6.95 to book your table today contact High Lodge. Groups are always welcome.


Conference & Corporate Hospitality
Main conference room delegate capacity up to 350, with banqueting suite capacity for up to 200 guests.
Additional syndicate rooms available.

The 100 acres High Lodge site can provide Conference and Corporate Hospitality organisers with such a spectacular backdrop that the scope and diversity of events are only limited by your imagination.

High Lodge provides a secluded location with full access for the disabled and has parking spaces for up to 1200 vehicles, including off roaders. Helicopter landing facilities are also available for the air traveller.

Shooting School & Grounds
Voted Top UK venue & officially classed as a Premier ground by Clay Pigeon Shooting Association.
Choice of challenging ranges and sporting layouts using fully automatic traps.

Host to major National & International championships High Lodge caters for all shooters, from complete beginners to experienced shots including game shooters.

Facilities include four Skeet ranges, Down The Line, Compact Sporting, FITASC and numerous sporting woodland stands.

A 60-foot and a 120-foot tower both add to the variety of targets and disciplines available.

The site operates over 100 fully automatic Autosporter traps, manufactured at High Lodge.

All areas are accessible by adequate paths and signage to ensure that your visit to High Lodge is comfortable, safe and enjoyable.

A modern clubhouse, restaurant & bar is available for visitors as well as a gun shop which also sells cartridges, clothing and other shooting accessories

High Lodge is also the home of John Bidwell’s Shooting School, headed by 5 times FITASC Sporting World Champion, 2 times European Champion and English Open Champion John Bidwell.

Fishing Lakes
High Lodge fishing lakes are set amongst 100 acres of woodland and delightful countryside and as such attract a wide range of birds and wildlife.

The site currently has 2 lakes, each of approximately half an acre in size, on which a range of fishing techniques is suitable.

Both lakes contain a mix of coarse fish including Carp up to 20lbs, Tench up to 4lbs and Roach & Rudd up to 1lbs, all of which should prove some excellent sport for the pleasure and match angler alike throughout the year.

Numerous facilities are available on-site including free car parking, refreshments, toilet facilities and equipment hire (Corporate guests only).

Individuals, families and corporate groups can all enjoy the pleasant, friendly surroundings and excellent fishing of High Lodge.

Lake depths are variable up to approximately 6 feet maximum, with some weed growth across bottom. As soon as the water warms up the fish start to feed on the top and so floaters are very good bait and worth a try if you see any surface activity.

High Lodge lakes can accommodate up to 15 pegs each making them ideal for competition purposes.

Both lakes are easily accessible from the car parks and those with walking difficulties or the elderly can park their cars well within 20m of the lakes.

Due to its central location and easy access, High Lodge is the ideal location for corporate activity days that involve fishing.

Retail Shop
A comprehensive range of clothing & accessories as well as sports equipment & consumables covering the onsite facilities.
As one of the UK’s Premier Shooting Grounds for both UK and International customers, we offer you an unrivalled personal service in addition to a comfortable buying experience in our retail shop. We hold a wide range of stock and if not available in store we will deliver your country pursuit, field sport and rural pursuit products straight to your door, if you prefer.
