From the moment you turn into the driveway leading to this stunning property, you just know that you are going to relax and have a great time.
The bistro restaurant has everything you would expect, inventive food alongside classics such as the delightful fish and chips, a buzzing but relaxed atmosphere and wonderful service from a friendly and professional team.
Although you cannot book at Kesgrave it is open all day, so you can arrive when you choose. The ‘stay’ part of eat, drink, stay (our milsoms mantra!) could not be any more enjoyable. The Principal suites, whilst lavish and grand, are competitively priced and all bedrooms are beautifully designed and fully equipped with the very latest TVs and MP3 players. The bathroom products are lovely too!
With its picturesque and ‘perfect for the kids to play in’ grounds, buzzing bistro restaurant, outside terrace (for al fresco dining), private dining facilities (the mess) and fabulous bedrooms, Kesgrave Hall, quite simply, offers you everything!
EAT"Open all day so no rush". This should be our motto at Kesgrave Hall, milsoms in Dedham and the Ha'Penny Bistro at The Pier at Harwich! What it simply means is that milsoms Kesgrave Hall is open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The 100-seat restaurant certainly has plenty of theatre with an open-plan kitchen allowing diners to see exactly what goes on in the kitchen, or 'the engine room', as it's referred to on the sign! Head Chef, Stuart Oliver, Lee O'Neil, Sous Chef and their brigade of chefs champion all that is great about Suffolk produce, plus there is a daily specials board allowing them to make full use of seasonal produce. The full a la carte menu is available from 12 noon right through to 9.30 pm (10.00 pm on Friday and Saturday) so remember there is no rush... just turn up when you're ready!
Children are not left out and we positively encourage them - as long as they're well behaved! There's a special kid's menu available throughout the day.
DRINKThe bar at Kesgrave Hall retains all the original features of this fantastic room plus a few added ones of our own! Huge gothic mirrors, a granite topped bar which looks out onto, and is accessible to, the terrace - a great place to relax and unwind after a busy day. Kat Daines is the bar manager, ably assisted by Dane Lomas. The beer is supplied by Greene King, so you'll see IPA on 'the menu', plus regular guest beers such as Olde Trip and Abbot Ale.
STAYKesgrave Hall - a new concept in hospitality...
milsoms Kesgrave Hall has fifteen stylish über cool en-suite bedrooms ranging from standard through to principal. The three rooms in the principal category certainly have plenty of WOW factor with bathtubs in the rooms and huge walk-in showers. Our aim is to run an exciting yet informal hotel offering great value in a relaxed environment. All rooms have exceptionally comfortable beds, crisp white linen, fluffy towels and are equipped with a mini bar, satellite television, tea/coffee facilities and WiFi. We have double, corporate and single rates - just ask! Our rates are inclusive of VAT but do not include breakfast. We do, however, offer 'breakfast on the go' (as well as full English and continental in the restaurant) which includes coffee/tea, a croissant, and a piece of fruit for you to take away with our compliments - perfect if you're in a rush and haven't time for a full English!
Kesgrave Hall is the perfect venue for either a business or leisure visit. Situated just off the A12 between Ipswich and Woodbridge - the Suffolk Heritage Coast with towns and villages such as Aldeburgh, Southwold, Walberswick and Dunwich all within a 30 minute drive and well worth a visit.
